DR. DON R. COOK DDS
Dr. Don Cook is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care with a focus on quality, comfort, and personalized attention. He believes every patient deserves a positive experience in a caring, professional environment where they feel informed, respected, and at ease.
A native of Rigby, Idaho, Dr. Cook earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry after attending Ricks College and Utah State University. He was then selected for the prestigious Idaho Dental Education Program (IDEP), a highly competitive program sponsored by the State of Idaho that accepts only seven Idaho residents each year. Through IDEP, he completed his first year of dental school at Idaho State University before graduating with honors from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1996, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Committed to expanding his clinical expertise, Dr. Cook completed a comprehensive 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. His advanced training included oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), orthodontics, periodontics (gum disease treatment), prosthodontics (crowns and dentures), pediatric dentistry, preventive care, and many other aspects of comprehensive dental treatment.
Following his residency, Dr. Cook proudly served his country at Fort Clayton Army Post in Panama, where he served as a Safety and Support Flight Officer while providing dental care.
In 1999, Dr. Cook relocated to Boise and joined Dr. Gordon Croft in private practice. Together they established Northwest Dental Center, P.A. in 2001, building a practice centered on compassionate care, clinical excellence, and long-lasting relationships with patients. In 2018, Dr. Bingham joined the practice, continuing its tradition of outstanding family dentistry.
Dr. Cook is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southwest Idaho Dental Society. He is committed to lifelong learning and staying current with advances in dentistry to provide patients with the highest standard of care.
Giving back to the community is an important part of Dr. Cook’s mission. Each year, he volunteers his time and resources on a dental mission trip to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico, where he helps provide essential dental care—including cleanings, fillings, and extractions—to more than 300 children annually.
Outside the office, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of Idaho’s outdoors. Whether he’s golfing, backpacking, hiking, or snowmobiling during the winter months, he values the balance between professional excellence and family life.
DR. DAVID G. BINGHAM DDS
Dr. David Bingham is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while building lasting relationships based on trust, honesty, and compassionate care. He believes every patient deserves personalized dental care in a comfortable, welcoming environment where they feel informed, respected, and confident in their treatment decisions. His philosophy is simple: treat every patient the way he would want his own family to be treated.
Dr. Bingham grew up in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, where he developed a love for serving others, lifelong learning, and the outdoors. He graduated from Eagle High School before attending Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. He was then selected for the Idaho Dental Education Scholarship Program (IDESP), a competitive program sponsored by the State of Idaho to help educate future Idaho dentists. Through the program, he completed his first year of dental education at Idaho State University before graduating from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2014, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
After dental school, Dr. Bingham returned home to Idaho to begin practicing comprehensive family dentistry. Since joining Northwest Dental Center in 2018, he has enjoyed caring for patients of all ages while continuing the practice’s tradition of providing high-quality, relationship-centered dental care. He offers a full range of general and restorative dental services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, dental implants, and same-day CEREC crowns.
Committed to providing the highest standard of care, Dr. Bingham regularly pursues continuing education in restorative, cosmetic, implant, digital, and CAD/CAM dentistry. He enjoys incorporating modern technology and evidence-based techniques that improve comfort, efficiency, and long-term outcomes while ensuring patients understand their options and feel confident in their care.
Dr. Bingham is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, the Southwest Idaho Dental Society, and the ACT Dental Study Club. He believes dentistry is constantly evolving and values continuing education as an essential part of delivering exceptional care.
Outside the office, Dr. Bingham enjoys spending time with his three children and exploring Idaho’s incredible outdoors. Whether backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, or pursuing landscape photography, he appreciates opportunities to recharge and create lasting memories with family and friends.
Dr. Bingham believes that exceptional dentistry is about more than healthy teeth—it is about building trust, educating patients, and helping people feel comfortable and cared for at every visit. His goal is to provide the kind of honest, compassionate dental care that he would want for his own family.
